Pinewood-Project was created in 2004 by Matthias Bart to share primitive skills, survival and bushcraft knowledge and help people develop their capacity of adaptation.

Matthias Bart is a Survival Instructor, Consultlant and Trainer, Gear Developper, Knife designer and Artisan.

He is the first Swiss retailer/distributor of Hill People Gear and Firebox stoves in Switzerland. He decided to sell only gear that he actively uses and trust. 

But he also creates handcrafted leather goods and various outdoor, survival and EDC gear. 

All this motivated him to create this E-shop to easily manage the distribution of his goods.

Pinewood-Project has now become the "outdoor coaching, training and gear development" branch of Bart and Bart Coaching Sàrl.
